Plane trees, not yet pruned

Plane trees, not yet pruned

This must be the latest our plane trees have been pruned, on the Quaid de Suchet in Saint Prex. Usually they become leafless, branchless stubs while their leaves are still green, to my great dismay. No sign yet of the tree trimmers – a new policy? Lack of organization (hard to believe, as this is Switzerland)? When they are cold winter stubs it’s hard to believe they’ll be lush in summer, but every year they become dense with leaves.

Je crois que ce soit le plus tard dans l’année que je n’ai jamais vu pour tailler ces platanes. Est-ce que il s’agit d’une nouvelle politique ?
