Apricots are in blossom in my village of Saint-Prex, where they are uncommon, and along the Rhone river valley between Fully and Sion, in canton Valais, where they are very common – large orchards are white with their flowers this week.

The tree gives such lovely flowers, and by July luscious fruit. How spoiled for beauty and flavour we are! Here’s what this will look like in July. As for the taste, mmmm, heavenly!
